The original Glasdon TOPSY™ Litter Bin was first launched in 1984 and received a unique Design Council Award for design innovation in 1986. The original TOPSY Litter Bin went on to become one of the extensively used litter bins in streets and public places throughout the world. TOPSY 2000 Litter Bin incorporates all the features that made TOPSY Litter Bin a market leader and applies fifty years of Glasdon research and ongoing development to further improve the design.
TOPSY 2000 Litter Bin features an enhanced capacity of up to 110 litres, reducing the need for frequent emptying. The revolutionary combination of lightweight hood and a short lift of the liner over the plinth helps to reduce strenuous lifting.
TOPSY 2000 Litter Bin is available with a choice of galvanised steel liner or moulded Durapol® liner. For added security, TOPSY 2000 Litter Bin can be supplied with the unique Glasdon FIREXPIRE™ Fire Safety Device (galvanised steel liner option only).
TOPSY 2000 Litter Bin is available with a choice of keyed or keyless locking mechanisms. The Glasdon keyless lock features a proven 4-point self-locking system that automatically self-centres and slam locks in any position, offering improved efficiency and no need to stoop or bend to open the bin. For customers who prefer the traditional locking mechanism, a keyed lock is also available, which has been further improved and simplified from its original design and will slam lock securely in any one of 4 positions.
TOPSY 2000 Litter Bin is available in a choice of 9 colours as standard: Bright Red, Yellow, Light Blue, Dark Blue, Light Green, Deep Green, Black, White, Light Grey. TOPSY 2000 Litter Bin can be supplied with a wide variety of optional extras and ground fixing options to suit your requirements.
The large, smooth face below the apertures of the bin is ideally suited to display your organisation’s logo, crest or message, which we can provide for a small additional cost per bin. We can provide you with a computer illustration to preview your design free of charge, with no obligation.
TOPSY 2000 Litter Bin is manufactured from Durapol, a polymer formulated to withstand extremes of temperature and is impact-tested in our Quality Assurance Laboratory as part of our BS EN ISO 9001:2000 test procedure. Durapol will not chip or rust, is easy to clean and never needs painting.
